Great restaurant! Been there many times. Always a good meal. Friendly staff, good service.

Seafood pasta, spaghetti with shrimp, lobster and parsley, I had as an appetizer portion, was a home run!

I am a VERY picky Italian eater. I am a chef. I teach home cooking. I spend a lot of time in Italy. THIS place is GOOD. REALLY GOOD.Let me share...the meatballs appetizer ( are gluten free!-and whether you need gluten free or not these are exceptional!) the homemade pasta with the mushroom sauce, then the lamb that was seasoned perfectly, thin and tender and not overdone... the greens were flavorful and still bright green and the tiramisu for dessert was divine. That is a compliment coming from someone who makes it at home and NEVER orders it out!I'm leaving for Italy in 10 days... tonite, I felt like I was already there. My friend and I shared the pasta dish, then shared the lamb dish... it was perfect. AND we left satisfied, not stuffed.I'm going back this weekend with my husband for sure!Just go in and ask the owner to bring you dinner. Don't even look at the menu. That's what I did. You won't be sorry. Grazie mille per una cena eccezionale!

Food was very good, service could of been better. We had 30 people for a family First Birthday party. We asked for a well done fish dish but only received what they were given out. Not well done. Coffee was brought to the table with out any cream or sugar. 5 minutes later the cream and sugar arrive for our cold coffee. Waiter for taken our orders before we could have our first toast. Poor, and Rude. I M O.

I believe the two times I've been here, both with groups, we have truly enjoyed the food and experience. The service was great and the food exceptional. Note that it says clearly on the door and menu BYOB, so if you want wine with your Italian meal you'll want to bring that along.

This reastaurant is an absolute find int Madison.! My business NEW LEAF Consignment is practically a next door neighbor to Osteria Trevi. I have been in business for almost 25 years and this is one of THE BEST restaurants in Madison. I have brought many friends to Osteria Trevi and used them for Christmas Party funtions. They have glueten free meatballs to die for. My Grandmother was from Sicily and an outstanding cook. I grew up on excellent Italian food in my house. So I know good eats when I find it. Try it, you will not be disappointed!

Since they opened....fresh, light and delicious. The meatballs...gluten free, the pasta, the salmon and more...we love this place.

Nice atmosphere. Great food. Menu was simple, but good enough choices. Went there for lunch on a work day. Not much of crowd and hence not much of wait time. Overall a pleasant experience and enjoyed the food. Will definitely recommend

A really great Italian place that's local. Has a Godfather type feel where everyone knows everyone. Pasta is great and so is the steak.

You will not find a better or more authentic italian restaurant anywhere.

Finally a restaurant worthy of not going to NYC, the menu is varied and the food superb. We totally enjoyed our dinner, the meatballs, lamb chops, fish all deserve 5 stars. Cannot wait to go back again!

We are new to Madison, and while there appears to be a lot of great Italian food in town, in my opinion this restaurant has the edge over all the rest. The meatballs are great (everything they are made out to be), the entrees are fresh & interesting, and the service is on point. Overall really good Italian meal and would highly recommend.

the food was unbelievable. truly. I had zucchini flowers, pasta prepared I a cheese wheel, European sea bass, tried my wife's lemon soul...all was exquisite.

Hands down, from start to finish, best Italian food I've ever had at a restaurant. It takes a LOT for me to crave Italian food (outside of home), and they hit every dish spot on. The meatballs are fantastic!
